Ramsdell Named MWBCA Co-Rookie of the Week

STANDISH, Maine – The Maine Women's Basketball Coaches Association (MWBCA) weekly honors have been announced and Saint Joseph's College sophomore forward Grace Ramsdell (Wells, Maine) has been selected as the MWBCA Co-Rookie of the Week. The MWBCA weekly honor counts as her third of the 2023-24 campaign.

Ramsdell averaged 17.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 1.5 steals while shooting 43.3% (13-30) from the floor, 50.0% (5-10) from three-point range, and 75.0% (3-4) from the free throw line in a pair of GNAC wins last week.

Ramsdell shares the weekly award with Bowdoin College freshman Abbie Quinn (Bangor, Maine), who averaged 13.0 points and 5.0 rebounds in two NESCAC road victories last week.

In 16 games this winter Ramsdell is averaging 13.7 points, 8.3 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 1.1 steals per contest and is shooting 45.2% (85-188) from the floor, 35.3% (18-51) from beyond the arc, and 68.9% (31-45) from the free throw line. She ranks as the team's leader in rebounding, field goals made (85), and blocked shots (11).

Saint Joseph's will play at Elms College on Saturday in a conference contest set to start at 1:00 PM.
