STANDISH, Maine – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) and New England Women's Basketball Coaches Association (NEWBA) weekly accolades have been announced and Saint Joseph's College sophomore forward Grace Ramsdell (Wells, Maine) has been selected as the Rookie of the Week by both organizations.

Ramsdell claims the weekly honors after averaging 16.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 1.0 steals in a 2-0 conference week for the Monks. The sophomore forward scored 17 points and shot 63.6% (7-11) from the field in a win over New England College on Wednesday and added 16 points and seven rebounds in a victory at Anna Maria College on Saturday. For the week, Ramsdell shot 56.5% (13-23) from the floor and 85.7% (6-7) from the FT line and accumulated her stats while logging only 23.5 minutes per game.

For Ramsdell, the GNAC top rookie honor is her sixth of the season while the NEWBA award is her second of the year. She was also listed on the Maine Women's Basketball Coaches Association (MWBCA) honor roll for her efforts.

Through 19 games this winter for the 12-7 Monks, Ramsdell leads the team in rebounding (7.9 RPG), field goals made (99) and blocked shots (13) and ranks second on the squad in scoring average (13.5 PPG) and field goal percentage (46.5%, 99-213).

Saint Joseph's College (12-7, 8-0 GNAC) will play at Rivier University tonight in a conference contest set for a 7:00 PM tip-off.
