SJC Women’s Golfers Compete in First Collegiate Tournament

CAPE ELIZABETH, Maine – The Saint Joseph's College women's golf program competed in a tournament for the first time in team history on Sunday afternoon. The Monks featured two players a tourney hosted by Southern Maine Community College at the Purpoodock Golf Club.

Sophomore Averi Beaudoin (Monmouth, Maine) placed third out of five women's golfers with a 103 card and senior Erica Irvin (Windham, N.H.) finished fourth with a 113 score.

"The ladies had a good time competing today," adds first-year Head Coach Don Flanagan. "They were a bit nervous in the early going, but really settled in on the back nine. I enjoyed watching them progress throughout the tournament and am thrilled to be a part of this historic day!"
