NORTHFIELD, VT - GNAC member Norwich University (5-2, 3-0 GNAC) earned a 4-2 victory over Saint Joseph's (2-3, 2-1 GNAC) on Saturday. Mikayla Call '11 (Portland, ME) and Anna Willis '10 (Gorham, ME) scored for the Lady Monks and Jessica Needham (E. Bridgewater, MA) recorded an assist in the conference loss.

Call put the Lady Monks on the board first with a goal 3:19 into the match, her fourth of the season, on a pass from Needham.

Ten minutes later Norwich's Nikki Szczepanski scored her first of two markers in the game to knot the score at one apiece.

Norwich took a 2-1 lead in the 32nd minute when Sarah Reuschel scored on a rebound that deflected off SJC keeper Katye Mayo '10 (Fairfield, ME).

Willis capitalized on a mistake by Norwich netminder Alecia Wright in the 37th minute and scored her first goal of the season, which tied the contest 2-2.

The score remained tied until 78:04 the mark when Norwich's Meghan Hoskins netted her third goal of the season on a pass from Szczepanski to put her team ahead to stay. Szczepanski added her second goal in the final second of the match to cap the game scoring with the Cadets winning, 4-2.

Mayo made five stops in net for the Lady Monks and Brianna Jordan '10 (Scarborough, ME) steered two shots on goal in the losing bid.

Norwich held a 15-8 shots advantage in the game while St. Joe's had a 5-1 edge in corner kicks.

Saint Joseph's will travel to Chestnut Hill, MA to take on GNAC foe Pine Manor College on Wednesday, September 24th at 4:00 PM. Norwich will face GNAC rival Mount Ida at 3:30 PM on Wednesday.
