Freshman Lorenzen Named Goalkeeper of the Week

STANDISH, ME – St. Joe's rookie netminder Jackie Lorenzen (Windham, ME) has been selected as the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week.

Lorenzen continued to play well for the Monks, allowing just one goal with 10 saves and a shutout in two victories last week. The first-year keeper registered the second shutout of her young career with four saves against University of Maine-Farmington on September 9th and made six saves in a 2-1 win over Emerson College on September 11th.

Through three games for the undefeated Monks, Lorenzen has allowed just one goal and sports a corresponding 0.33 goals against average in 270 minutes of play. Her save percentage stands at a healthy .917 mark with 11 saves in 12 opportunities.

Saint Joseph's will play at Pine Manor College in a conference contest on Wednesday at 4:00 PM.
