ON THIS DATE: Monks Prevail in Action Packed Game Versus Huskies

On September 11th, 2019 Saint Joseph's College toppped University of Southern Maine, 3-2, in a non-conference women's soccer contest at the SJC Athletics Complex.

NOTEWORTHY:

  • Sophomore goalkeeper Adia Grogan (Kennebunk, Maine) registered a pair of assists on set pieces from near midfield and made six saves in the victory
  • The Monks were down a player after an SJC defender was dealt a red card at the 68:21 mark
  • Junior midfielder McKenzie Murphy (West Baldwin, Maine) scored the first goal allowed by the Huskies through three-plus games with a strike off a Grogan feed in the 43rd minute
  • All Saint Joseph's programs have combined to post a 16-13 (.552) record on this date
