Twombly Named GNAC Swimmer of the Week

STANDISH, Maine – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly awards have been announced and Saint Joseph's College sophomore Tiffany Twombly (Sanford, Maine) has been selected as the GNAC Women's Swimmer of the Week.

Facing the University of New England on Friday, Twombly won the 50-Breast (34.36) and 100-Breast (1:13.84) events and swam a leg for the Monks' winning 200-Free relay (1:49.42) quartet. She also helped the SJC 200-Medley relay (2:04.37) team place second in the home event.

For Twombly, the GNAC weekly honor is a career-first. She is the first SJC female swimmer to claim a weekly award since November 6th, 2017 when Rose Baillie was named GNAC Rookie of the Week.

The Monks will compete at the University of Saint Joseph this Saturday at 1:00 PM.
