SJC Men & Women Take Home CSCAA Scholar All-America Team Honors

STANDISH, Maine - The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has selected 718 teams to the Scholar All-America Team for the Spring 2023 semester. Teams were selected on the basis of their Spring 2023 team grade point averages and represent 17,497 student-athletes. For the second consecutive year, the Saint Joseph's College men's and women's swim teams have earned the high academic honor.

The CSCAA recognizes teams with the Scholar All-America Award for achieving a team GPA of 3.0 or higher. The SJC men posted a 3.75 grade point average while the St. Joe's women registered a 3.32 GPA during the spring semester.

The highest team GPA's come from Division III programs. Pomona-Pitzer leads the women's standings with a 3.88 GPA. Caltech is the top men's program at 3.86.

Under the leadership of seventh-year Head Coach Jared Felker, Saint Joseph's is one of 22 New England programs to have both men's and women's teams recognized. University of Saint Joseph is the only other Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) institution to have both teams earn the academic accolade.

Founded in 1922, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), is the nation's first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy, and professional development.
