BOSTON, Mass. – The Saint Joseph's College Indoor Track and Field teams competed in the 2023 New England Division III Indoor Track & Field Championship at The TRACK at New Balance.
The women's meet ended with Williams taking the crown for first (127.33 pts) ahead of Tufts with 108 pts and MIT rounding out for third with 89.5 pts. For the men, MIT ran away with it finishing with 159 points in front of Williams' 94 points. Amherst followed in for 64 pts placing third.
THE RUNDOWN – WOMEN:
- Junior Brooklyn Goff (Biddeford, Maine) placed 11th overall for a 9.54 in the 60 Meter Hurdles to surpass her previously held record
- Brooklyn Goff, Lindy Hyndman, Kate Luiz, and Alexia Young placed 21st in the 4x200 Meter Relay with a 1:55.11 mark
THE RUNDOWN – MEN:
- Freshman Abdirizak Abukar (Lewiston, Maine) sprinted for a 22.64 in the 200 Meter Dash for 19th and cruised in for a 50.89 in the 400 Meter Dash (19th place)
- Junior Ryan Farr (Gorham, Maine) placed 21st overall in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.71
- Ryan Farr, Tyler Ricker, Ryan Graham, and Abdirizak Abukar paced the 4x400 Meter Relay to a 15th-place finish for a new school record of 3:29.53
- Alexey Seredin, Nick Carmosino, Ryan Graham, and Troy Hendricks placed 20th overall in the Distance Medley Relay for 11:23.97
