BIDDEFORD, ME - The Saint Joseph's Women's Cross Country team
placed third with 105 points in the University of New England
Invitational on Saturday morning. Katie
Murphy '11 (Baileyville, ME) toured the 5K course
in 22:09 to lead all SJC runners and placed 14th overall.
With the top three runners and five in the top ten, University of
Southern Maine won the event with 21 points. UNE placed second with
44 points, Maine-Presque Isle finished fourth (112 pts.), Maine
Maritime was fifth (127) and Lyndon State placed sixth (139).
Thomas (295) and Unity (336) rounded out the scoring for the
day.
Carly Dion (USM) won the event with a 20:09 time and was followed
by Sarah Myrick (USM, 20:29), Jennie Foley (USM, 20:30), Rachel
Sincebaugh (MMA, 20:45) and Erin Garvey (USM, 20:55).
