Please share some of your favorite SJC memories - on and off the field:

Overall, I loved being able to play the sport I love while pursuing a difficult major. It kept me driven and focused while and helped keep my life balanced. One of my favorite memories from my playing career at SJC was beating Simmons in the first round of playoffs my sophomore year, it was a super close game and came down to the fifth set. I also loved being able to represent SJC at the New England Senior All-Star game. My favorite memory off the court was meeting my husband, Lincoln and subsequently having to become a SJC baseball superfan.

Notable performances as an SJC athlete (records, championships, individual accolades):

Garnered 2017 Second Team All-GNAC honors and selected to play in the NEWVA Senior Classic…Picked as the Monks’ GNAC Sportsmanship Award recipient in 2016 and 2017 and garnered GNAC All-Academic honors in 2016, 2017, and 2018…Became the first SJC volleyball player to earn CoSIDA Academic All-District honors in 2017…Listed on the GNAC Weekly Honor Roll twice during her senior season…Also named as the 2018 SJC Female Student-Athlete of the Year…Capped her career with 664 kills in 1,869 attempts with a .242 attack percentage, 271 digs, 238 total blocks (129 solos, 109 assists), and 887.5 points…Left the program ranked second in team history in sets played and third in blocks, solo blocks, block assists, blocks per set (0.6), and attack percentage and fourth in kills.

Where are you employed? Please tell us your job title, duties, how long you've been there, etc.:

I work at Mercy Hospital in the Intensive Care Unit as a registered nurse. I have been there since June of 2018. At work I take care of critically ill individuals suffering from many different conditions such as septic shock, respiratory failure, and post-cardiac arrest. At the height of the pandemic our unit was filled with Covid patient's suffering from a condition called Acute Respiratory Destress Syndrome (ARDS). Almost every single patient was on a ventilator and had to be paralyzed to help heal their lungs. I also work as a clinical instructor to junior nursing students at SJC.

Please tell us about your family, if applicable:

I am the youngest of four, with three nieces and two nephews so I come from a big family.

What do you do for fun?

I still play volleyball at least once a week year-round, indoor in the fall/winter and beach volleyball in the spring/summer. When I'm not playing volleyball, I like to hang out with friends/family, read, workout, or play with my dogs Max and Milo.
