Tyler Laverriere is a senior pitcher for the Monks' baseball team and heads into his final collegiate campaign with a 6-2 career record and 77 strikeouts over 72 innings over three NCAA seasons. The 6'4" righthander tossed 3.1 innings of one-hit relief with six K's in a 2012 GNAC Tournament semifinal victory and earned GNAC All-Tournament honors for his efforts.

Marketing with Professor Hellenbeck - because he always kept it interesting and I learned a lot.

What was your first job (actually received a paycheck)?

A bus-boy at St. Jeans Hall for my father when he was a bartender there.

David Beckham, because he is a god.

Do you have any superstitions before you go into a big game?

I have to wear leggings and long sleeves no matter what the temperature is. I eat three Oreos between each inning.

Why did you choose your jersey #?

It was given to me.

What is your most memorable moment as an athlete at SJC?

Throwing a no-hitter in the snow against Norwich the day before Easter my sophomore year.

Who has had the greatest impact on your life?

My parents and family.

Can you tell us something about you that most people don't know?

I don't do well with heights.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

I see myself as a certified public accountant, living in the New England area.

If you could meet anyone (past or present) who would it be and why?

Mohamed Ali - because is an inspiration to many people.

What are your hobbies?

Golfing, playing cribbage, water skiing, camping, spending time with friends and family, etc

What is your ideal day away from athletics?

A day of relaxing with friends and family.

Do you plan on playing sports or coaching after you graduate?

Yes, I would love to continue playing baseball. I can also see myself as a coach in the future.

What are your personal and team goals for this season?

To be better than we were last year. Personally, to stay healthy throughout the year.
