Meaghan Johnson, a 2010 First Team All-NAC selection, is unquestionably one of the very best goalkeepers to ever don a Saint Joseph’s field hockey uniform. For her career, she ranks as the Monks’ all-time leader in goalie minutes (4296), goals against average (1.29), victories (44) and shutouts (13). She is also second in games (62) and third in save percentage (.823). As of September 27th, Johnson ranks fifth among active NCAA DIII goalkeepers in career minutes and save percentage, 11th in goals against average, and 13th in saves.

Field Hockey Head Coach Rupert Lewis:

“Meaghan is well on her way to becoming one of the most accomplished four-year starting goalkeepers for our field hockey program. She is very driven and focused and this year as a senior she has taken the right steps to prepare herself physically and mentally for an amazing season. Meaghan is never satisfied in what she has accomplished and continually works on becoming better in every game and practice.  She continues to lead her team by example with her work ethic and leadership as a captain on and off the field.”
