Feature Questions

Why did you choose Saint Joseph's College?

When I came to visit I liked the team chemistry between the girls on women’s soccer team. I also liked how the sports teams supported each other. There is a good community feel to the campus and the faculty and students were very friendly when I came to visit as well.

What is/was your favorite class at St. Joe's and why?

Health Assessment - this is the first class where we are learning what we will actually be doing as a nurse. We are learning what we will be asking our patients when first assessing them and also what to look for while assessing them. It is a fun and interesting class that I will be implementing in the future!

What was your first job (actually received a paycheck)?

Route 160 Ice Cream

Who would you like to trade places for a day with and why?

Hope Solo, not only would I be able to see what it is like to be a goalie - which I have always wanted to know - but also to know what it is like to be a member of the US Women’s Soccer team.

What is on your "Bucket List?"

I would like to go on a mission trip to a country in need of help or renovation. Possibly even do some health care while I am there, once I have graduated.

Talent you'd most like to have:

I would love to be able to be an Olympic gymnast!

What do you drive?

Volvo Cross Country

What is your motto?

Learn from yesterday; live for today; hope for tomorrow.

Do you have any superstitions before you go into a big game?

No I don't!

Why did you choose your jersey #?

I had the same number in high school and wanted to continue to represent that jersey number in college, too!

What is your most memorable moment as an athlete at SJC?

Beating Lasell in regular season (last fall); they were one of the best teams in the conference last season, and beating them showed our team that we can compete with the best.

Who has had the greatest impact on your life?

My mom, I have learned a lot from not only having conversations with her but also by watching her as she interacts with people. I will always utilize the lessons I have learned from her throughout my life.

Can you tell us something about you that most people don't know?

I love to sing!

Where do you see yourself in five years?

I hope to be a graduate of the nursing program and be working in a hospital, preferably in a pediatric oncology unit.

If you could meet anyone (past or present) who would it be and why?

Carrie Underwood. I have listened to her music growing up and love her songs!

What are your hobbies?

I enjoy playing all types of sports, as well as watching them, whether it is on TV or live.

What is your ideal day away from athletics?

I like to go out to eat, go shopping, and watch movies/TV. Anything that is relaxing is ideal for me!

Do you plan on playing sports or coaching after you graduate?

I would like to find a women’s soccer league to play in and hopefully I will continue to play on the WPSL team. I hope to coach my kids’ teams with whatever sports they would like to play. Hopefully soccer and maybe basketball, too!

What are your personal and team goals for this season?

Personally I need to become more of a physical player. I also need to work on my speed of play. As a team, we are looking to win the GNAC Championship.
