BOSTON, MA – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) has released the 2011-12 All-Academic Team and 75 Saint Joseph’s College student-athletes have been honored.

The squad consists of 631 student-athletes from 14 institutions that have met the following criteria in maintaining a 3.25 cumulative grade point average, completed at least one full season of competition at a GNAC institution and is of sophomore status academically.

The 618 individuals from 16 GNAC sports constitutes the most honored by the conference for the third consecutive academic year and 18 more than the 2010-11 tally.

With 75 honorees this year, Saint Joseph's ranks second only to Emerson College, which had 93 student-athletes listed on the 2011-12 All-Academic Team. For the Monks, the 2011-12 number of honorees is the most in the institution’s five years as a member of the conference. In addition, St. Joe's has had at least 40 athletes honored in each of the institution's five years as a member of the GNAC (2008 - 42, 2009 - 61, 2010 - 59, 2011 – 58, 2012 - 75; 295 total).

The following is a list of the 75 Saint Joseph’s GNAC All-Academic selections; a group that includes 31 repeat honorees, including 11 earning the award for the third time (***) and 20 for the second time (**) during their respective collegiate careers.
