STANDISH, ME - Saint Joseph's College (29-11, 12-2 GNAC) is ranked eighth in the latest New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIBA) weekly poll.
The Monks are tied with Babson College for the eighth spot with three points. Wheaton College, with 43 points, is ranked first in the poll.
Saint Joseph's defeated Suffolk University, 8-6, in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Championship game at Larry Mahaney Diamond on Sunday afternoon. The conference title win is the Monks' sixth in the last seven years and provides the Royal Blue with an automatic qualifier into the NCAA DIII Tournament, which begins on May 18th.
