STANDISH, ME – Saint Joseph's freshman catcher Nic Lops (South Portland, Maine/Cheverus) has garnered Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Weekly Honor Roll mention.
Lops hit an even .500 (10-20) with three runs scored and nine RBI in six games for the Monks last week. He recorded four multi-hit efforts, including a 2-4, three-RBI performance versus New Jersey City, during the week and belted a two-run single in the top of the eighth inning to propel the Monks to a 4-2 victory over Suffolk on Sunday.
Through 21 games Lops is hitting .373 (19-51) with 10 runs, three doubles and 12 RBI and sports a .418 OBP to go with a .431 slugging percentage.
Saint Joseph's (19-2, 4-0 GNAC) will travel to Emerson College on Saturday for a 4:00 PM conference twinbill.
