NCAA DIII Baseball Polls Released

STANDISH, ME - The national and regional NCAA DIII baseball polls have been released and Saint Joseph's College (10-5, 1-1 GNAC) remains in the rankings despite suffering a pair of difficult losses last week.

In the NCBWA/D3baseball.com national poll, the Monks fall 10 spots from #11 in last week's release to 21st in the April 2nd rankings. Saint Joseph's, which currently leads NCAA DIII with a 1.29 team earned run average, slips to 30th in the ABCA/Collegiate Baseball Newspaper poll after sitting 13th in the national rankings two weeks ago.

St. Joe's, ranked as the top team in the region in last week's New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIBA) Weekly Poll, slides to #5 for this reporting period.

Cortland State sits atop the NCBWA/D3baseball.com national ranking while Linfield College is the top-ranked team in the ABCA/Collegiate Baseball Newspaper poll.

In the NEIBA Weekly Poll, Wheaton College is ranked as the top team this week with four first-place votes and 45 points overall. Ranked second is Suffolk University, which received one first-place vote and 39 points, while Southern Maine (34 points) is currently third in the region. MIT (28), Saint Joseph's (23), Eastern Connecticut State University (19), Amherst College (11) and Western New England University (8) round out the top eight while Tufts University, Johnson & Wales University and Plymouth State University also received votes this week.
