Godbout Named GNAC Pitcher of the Week

STANDISH, Maine – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly honors have been released and Saint Joseph's College junior Travis Godbout (Portland, Maine) has been selected as the Pitcher of the Week.

Godbout picked up his fourth win of the year after allowing four hits with no walks and six strikeouts in six shutout innings versus Norwich University on Friday.

As of May 2nd, Godbout is 4-1 with a 2.49 ERA and 36 strikeouts – against just 13 walks – with 42 hits allowed in 43.1 innings. He currently ranks fourth in the GNAC in ERA, fifth in victories, and eighth in both appearances (11) and strikeouts.

For Godbout, the GNAC weekly honor is the second of his career as he was named as the conference Pitcher of the Week on April 11th, 2016.

#16/18 Saint Joseph's has earned the top seed in the GNAC Tournament and will host a second-round contest, facing either #4 Johnson & Wales University or #5 Norwich University, Thursday at 3:30 PM.
