CARRABASSETT VALLEY, Maine – Freshman Liam Strobeck (Charlotte, Vt.) became the first Saint Joseph's skier to secure a first-place finish when he eclipsed the entire men's field with a 1:41.40 (47.58, 53.82) composite time in a giant slalom event at Sugarloaf Mountain on Sunday.
Freshman Aidan Wolfinger finished 18th overall with a 1:50.20 (52.00, 58.21) effort while, on the women's side, first-year Erica Irvin (Windham, N.H.) was 24th (1:59.05 – 56.86, 1:02.19) and sophomore Jillian Luby placed 28th (2:02.16 – 58.31, 1:03.84).
