Where did you attend college? Why did you choose to go there?

University of Maine at Presque Isle. Long story. Couldn't afford Green Mountain College and didn't want to stay close to home. I had just one week to decide before preseason soccer began.

When did you realize you wanted to be a Head Coach?

My last year at UMPI when I was the men's assistant. I always knew I wanted to be a coach when my playing days were over. After that year I spent some time away from the game until Todd Sniper recruited me to join Odyssey Sport 97 as a coach.

Who is (was) your biggest influence as a coach?

There have been many through the years. I would have to say that Doug and Andy Biggs have had the most influence. Their knowledge of the game is the best in the state. I've learned and continue to learn from them. They have been my mentors through the years.

What is your most memorable moment as an athlete?

There are two. Making the NAIA Regional tournament; we traveled 16 hours to Beaver Falls, Pa. We lost 2-1, one but it was an awesome experience. Also, I scored a hat trick at home vs. MMA. I was sick all week with the flu but managed to find the strength to play. It was the best game of my career.

What is your most memorable moment as a coach?

Winning the 2009 GNAC Championship! As a first-year head coach it made the season that much more memorable!

What do you do in the offseason?

Spend time with the family and coach for Odyssey Sport 97. I'm the Director of Operations as well so that keeps me busy.

How would you describe your coaching philosophy?

Work hard at teaching the game during the week. I believe in possession soccer and picking and choosing how and when to attack. We try and play the game the right way, in my opinion. Hopefully by game time my job is done and it's on the team to perform.
