STANDISH, MAINE - Junior Marcus Alexander (Niceville, FL) scored
23 points with 5 assists and 4 steals to lead St. Joe's (2-3) to a
77-64 victory over Maine Machias (0-5). Junior Matt Plummer
(Naples, ME) and first year Elbie Murphy (Loundonville, NY) scored
13 and 10, respectively.
The Monks went up by as much as 23 points in the first half but the
Clippers fought back to close the gap, 32-29 at the half. Sophomore
Charles Calligan (Manchester, ME) had 21 points for Machias
including 5 for 10 from behind the arc.
Senior captain Chad Pulkkinen (Windham, ME) pulled down a game-high
15 boards and added 7 points and 4 assists in the win.
The team travels to Framingham State College on 12/7 for a 7:30 pm
game.
