STANDISH, ME - Head Coach Rob Sanicola '99 has announced his
men's basketball schedule for the upcoming 2007-08 season. This
season's schedule has a far different look than previous years, as
Saint Joseph's College enters its first season of play in the Great

schedule as well as seven non-conference contests.
The Monks kick off the season at the University of Maine at
Farmington on Nov. 19th to square off against the Beavers.
Saint Joseph's College will be heading to Brunswick, Maine to face
the Polar Bears of Bowdoin on Nov. 25 before hosting the University
of New England November 28th. The Monks begin their inaugural
season of play in the GNAC with a trip to Lasell College on Dec. 1,
then will travel home to "The Lake" to face non-conference foe
Husson College four days later (Dec.5).
Just before Christmas break, The Monks close 2007 with a conference
home game against GNAC member Daniel Webster on Dec. 8.
After the New Year, the Monks will travel north to meet the White
Mules of Colby College on Thursday, Jan. 3. Saint Joseph's College
will play their first conference game of the second semester when
they travel to face the Cadets of Norwich (VT). The Royal Blue and
White will return to "The Lake" to host Albertus Magnus in their
second semester GNAC home opener on Thursday, Jan. 10.
Lasell and Mount Ida are the last GNAC College's to visit Standish
before the Monks are forced to hit the road for two non-conference
games against Bates College and the University of Southern Maine in
late January.
Saint Joseph's will open its February slate when they travel to
Boston to face Emerson College on Saturday, Feb. 2. The Monks round
out their away conference schedule when they travel to Rivier,
Daniel Webster, and Mount Ida later in the month.
The Monks wrap up the regular season on Feb. 23 with a home contest
versus Emmanuel College. The opening round GNAC tournament begins
Feb. 26 and concludes with the championship game on Mar. 3. The
higher seeded teams will host the tourney games.
