PAXTON, Mass. – Anna Maria College (12-9, 8-6 GNAC) defeated Saint Joseph's College (6-15, 6-8 GNAC), 89-83, in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) men's basketball action on Wednesday night.

STATS OF THE GAME:

Anna Maria shot a season-high 61.7% (37-60) from the field and netted 21 points off 18 SJC turnovers…The AMCATS held a 60-24 lead in points in the paint.

BEYOND THE BOX:

For the Monks, tonight's points total is the most scored in a loss all season...10 of the Monks' 15 losses this season have been by 10 or fewer points.

LEADERS – SAINT JOSEPH'S:

  • Senior guard Griffin Foley (Portland, Maine) led four Monks in double figures with 16 points
  • Junior forward Drew Shea (Mount Desert Island, Maine) tallied 15 points, nine rebounds, five assists, and a pair of blocked shots
  • Freshman guard Teagan Hynes (York, Maine) scored 12 points
  • Senior guard Nicholas Curtis (Windham, Maine) added 11 points

LEADERS – ANNA MARIA:

  • Ralph Grasso, Jr. was 11-for-16 from the floor with 26 points, six rebounds and two assists
  • Gabe Armstead was 11-for-12 from the field with 25 points and four boards
  • Trevian Grennon chipped in with 17 points
