STANDISH, ME - St. Joe's senior shortstop Luke
Enman (Milan, NH/Berlin HS) has been named the
GNAC Player of the Week and freshman Ian
Lee (Hampden, ME) has been named the GNAC Rookie
of the Week. Both players have received the individual honors twice
this season.
Enman takes home Player of the Week honors after
hitting .400 (10-25) with three home runs and 12 RBI's to help the
Monks earn six wins against two losses last week. In a doubleheader
sweep over conference foe Norwich University on April 18th,
Enman was 5-6 with a home run and four RBI's.
Enman received his first weekly award after
hitting .500 (15-30) with 9 runs and 11 RBI's in the Monks' 6-3
southern swing in Port Charlotte, FL March 2-8.
Enman, a 2007 D3Baseball.com All-American,
currently leads the Royal Blue with a .404 average, 44 hits, 37
runs, 35 RBI's, 10 doubles, 10 stolen bases, 6 home runs and 6
triples.
Ian Lee earns the Rookie honor
for the second time this season after hitting .500 (14-28) with two
home runs and nine RBI's last week. The freshman went 3-3 with a
home run and 3 RBI's in a conference win over Rivier College on
April 19th.
Lee also earned the honor last week after hitting
.417 (5-12) with 5 RBI's for the week and went 2-3 with a run and 2
RBI's in an 8-2 win over GNAC foe Albertus Magnus College on April
13th.
For the season Lee is second on the team with a
.378 (37-98) batting average and has driven in 28 runs.
