STANDISH, ME - Sophomore pitcher Pat
Moran (Winterport, ME) and junior outfielder
Wade Oliver (Owls Head, ME) have
been named to the GNAC Honor Roll for their play during the April
21-27 reporting period.
Moran earned playoff victories in both the April
22nd preliminary round win over Albertus Magnus and GNAC
championship game triumph over top-seeded Suffolk University on
April 27th. For the week, Moran posted a 3.07 ERA and tossed 14.2
innings, allowed 14 hits, 5 earned runs and 3 walks while fanning
11 batters. For the season, the tall righthander is 4-4 with a 3.38
ERA and 42 strikeouts in 48 innings pitched.
Oliver made a handful of "Web Gem" quality catches
in right field for the Monks during the GNAC tourney and hit a solo
home run in the eighth inning against Johnson and Wales in the
quarterfinal game to help the Royal Blue advance to the
championship game. Oliver scored 4 runs and knocked in three during
the week. For the season, Oliver is hitting .349 (52-149) with 42
runs and 27 RBI's.
