STANDISH, ME - The Saint Joseph's College Baseball team is ranked seventh, tied with Westfield State, in the final New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIBA) Weekly Poll of the 2010 campaign.
The Monks, 32-11 overall and 11-3 in GNAC contests this spring, gained entrance into the NCAA DIII Tournament via the GNAC automatic qualifier after defeating Suffolk University, 5-4, in the conference title game on May 2nd. Eighth-seeded St. Joe's, making its fourth NCAA tourney appearance in the last five years, will face off against #1 Tufts University (31-5, 10-2 NESCAC) in the opening round of the New England Regional on Wednesday in Willimantic, CT at 1:15 PM.
