Collins Listed on D3Baseball.com Team of the Week

STANDISH, Maine – Saint Joseph's College senior designated hitter Jameson Collins (Sandown, N.H.) has been listed on the March 27th D3Baseball.com Team of the Week.

Collins becomes the third SJC player to earn D3Baseball.com honors this season after hitting .615 (8-13) with a 1.154 slugging percentage while driving in 10 runs in four wins last week. In a sweep over Thomas College on Friday, Collins was 5-7 with eight RBI and connected for a grand slam in the opener. He finished the weekend by going 3-4 with two doubles and a triple with a run scored and an RBI in a 14-4 win over Benedictine on Sunday.

The senior slugger was also selected as the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Player of the Week for the reporting period ending March 26th.

Through 12 games, Collins is hitting .419 (18-43) with 12 runs, five doubles, two triples, a home run, and 20 RBI with a .698 slugging percentage and a .423 OBP. He currently leads the team in RBI and ranks second on the squad in slugging.

Collins joins senior third baseman Taylor Black (Cardiff by the Sea, Calif.) and junior reliever Josh Partridge (Deerfield, N.H.) as SJC players who have collected D3Baseball.com Team of the Week accolades this spring. Black and Partridge were listed on the March 13th team.

Saint Joseph's (10-2) will play at Husson University tomorrow at 4:00 PM.
