With two out Kim Jordan (Bangor, Maine) delivered an RBI double down the left field line to score Maria Labbe (Lewiston, Maine) and Jordan scored later in the inning on a wild pitch for a 3-0 lead.

The Monks picked up four more runs in the top of the third. Theresa Hendrix (Scarborough, Maine/Cheverus) started the scoring with an RBI single to center field and the next batter, Labbe, calmly doubled to right-center to send Moore home. Maddie Kluna (Standish, Maine) stepped to the plate to deliver an RBI single to left field to cap the inning scoring.

The Monks would add one more in the third and two more runs in the fourth for the win.
