Game One Recap-Bowdoin 2, Saint Joseph's 1

Geaumont went all seven innings in the circle for Bowdoin, allowing eight hits and one run. The junior struck out four batters while walking one in her 15th win of the season. Laura Jordan allowed as many hits in four innings of work for the Monks, while allowing just two runs.

Bowdoin escaped a bases loaded situation in the top of the second as the Monks filled the bases of a walk and singles from Victoria Ramos and Carla Trip. The Polar Bears responded in the bottom half of the inning with a two-run blast by Lauren O'Shea to right field. The Monks were poised to score in the top of the fifth with runners on second and third following an Theresa Hendrix double, but right fielder Siena Mitman robbed Melissa Mayhew of a homerun at the fence to end the inning.

The runs would hold as the game's only offense until Tripp tallied an RBI single in the top of the sixth to cut Bowdoin's lead to one. The Polar Bears closed out the top of the seventh by retiring the side in order to secure the win.

Game Two Recap-Bowdoin 8, Saint Joseph's 0

Bowdoin's bats came alive in game two, scoring three runs in the opening inning to jump out to the early lead. Geaumont tagged her team's second homer of the day to score two runs in the first, with Jordan Gowdy accounting for the third run as she capitalized on a misthrow by the pitcher. Marisa O'Toole made it 4-0 in the second inning with a single to right that scored Victoria Rusch from second.

Again, the Monks had runners in scoring position in the third inning but were unable to push any runs across the plate. Shannon Laubauskas opened the inning with a single and quickly moved to second on Tripp's walk. Both runners advanced to second and third on a successful sacrifice bunt from Alyssah Dennett, but the Monks were unable to capitalize. The Polar Bears continued to produce offensively as O'Shea hit a two-run double in the third, giving Bowdoin a 6-0 lead. O'Toole closed out the fourth with a two-run homer to center field as the Polar Bears took the 8-0 lead.

Emily Griffin pitched all five innings for Bowdoin, allowing just two hits in her shutout, while walking four.
