2018-19 GNAC Academic All-Conference Honorees Announced

BOSTON, Mass. – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) has released the 2018-19 All-Academic All-Conference selections and 115 Saint Joseph's College student-athletes have been honored.

For Saint Joseph's, the total of 115 honorees is both the most in the conference this year and the highest tally in the institution's 12 years as a member of the GNAC.

This year's list consists of 1,030 student-athletes from 13 full-time institutions and 12 associate member institutions who have met the following criteria in maintaining a 3.25 cumulative grade point average, completed at least one full season of competition at a GNAC institution and is of sophomore status academically.

The list of 1,030 individuals from 20 GNAC sports constitutes the most honored by the conference for the 10th consecutive academic year and totals 22 additional individuals when compared to the 2017-18 list.

For the Monks, the 2018-19 total tops last year's mark by 20 individuals. Saint Joseph's has had at least 40 athletes honored in each of the institution's 12 years as a member of the GNAC (2008 - 42, 2009 - 61, 2010 - 59, 2011 – 58, 2012 - 75, 2013 – 70, 2014 – 82, 2015 – 86, 2016 - 89; 2017 – 92, 2018 – 95, 2019 - 115; 924 total).

The following is a list of the 115 Saint Joseph's GNAC All-Academic selections; a group that features 60 repeat-honorees, including 34 who earned the award third time (***) and 26 for the second time (**) during their respective collegiate careers.

Founded in 1912 by the Sisters of Mercy in Portland, Maine, Saint Joseph’s College is Maine’s Catholic liberal arts college in the Mercy tradition. We are inclusive of all faiths, including no faith.
