Bouchard, Cloutier, Tirrell earn All-State MCBSA Honors

STANDSIH, MAINE - The Maine College Baseball & Softball Association (MCBSA) announced its end-of-the-year all-state honors and Saint Joseph's softball has three players recognized. 

Sophomore Chantelle Bouchard (Biddeford, Maine) has claimed First Team All-State honors while second-year Charlotte Cloutier (Lewiston, Maine) and Sadie Tirrell (Naples, Maine) has earned Second Team All-State MCBSA accolades.

Bouchard named All-State First Team, after earning First Team All-Conference accolades and NFCA Regional honors last month. Bouchard hit .409 (52-127) with 33 runs, 14 doubles, 13 home runs, 48 RBI, and three stolen bases. She set a new SJC single-season home run record and led the GNAC in doubles, home runs, RBI, total bases (105), and slugging percentage (.827). Additionally, she ranked fourth in hits (52), fifth in batting average and runners caught stealing (6), seventh in on-base percentage (.465), and ninth in runs scored.

Cloutier claims second-team all-state after getting recognized as an all-conference performer hitting .409 (38-93) with 17 runs, five doubles, 15 RBI, and a .476 OBP. She capped the season tied for fifth (with Bouchard) in batting average and fifth in OBP. Having made only six errors in 138 total chances from the shortstop position she finished the year with a .957 fielding percentage.

Tirrell tallies second-team all-state hitting .371 (36-97) with 17 runs, three doubles, 14 RBI, and a .431 OBP. Tirrell only made two errors in 33 total chances rounding out the year with a .939 fielding percentage.

Saint Joseph's posted a 21-18 overall record with a 13-4 mark in conference play during the 2024 season.
