STANDISH, ME – Saint Joseph's freshman swimmer Mandy Avella (Londonderry, N.H.) has earned GNAC Weekly Honor Roll mention for the fourth time this winter.
Avella recorded top finishes in the 50-Breast (34.79) and 100-IM (1:09.27) and added a runner-up effort in the 50-Fly (31.05) versus Gordon College on Saturday. Her 50-Breast time ranks as a new program record.
Avella, also a two-time GNAC Rookie of the Week honoree, has notched 13 individual victories and five runner-up performances as a first-year swimmer and has broken a pair of program records this winter.
Saint Joseph's will compete in the New England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Association Championship in White Rivier Junction, Vermont on February 17th, 18th and 19th.
