Monks Kick Off 2016-17 Swim Season

STANDISH, Maine – Saint Joseph's College kicked off the 2016-17 swimming season with a home meet versus Husson University on Saturday afternoon. The SJC women suffered a 160-99 defeat and the men fell by a 146-28 margin.

Today's season opener also marks the collegiate coaching debut for first-year Head Coach Jared Felker. Shorthanded due to injuries and the fact that several multi-sport team members are still competing in fall sports, the Monks showed plenty of promise this afternoon and are certain to grow under Coach Felker's watch this winter.
