GNAC Swimmer of the Week: 10/16/23

2022-23: Raced in 20 individual events during her sophomore season…Earned 11 individual victories…Won the 200-Free (2:11.05) and 500-Free (6:21.72) races against Husson University on October 15th…Picked up victories in the 100-Free (58.61) and 50-Free (26.33) versus UNE 13 days later…Won twice (200-Free, 2:14.92; 50-Free, 26.85) in a quad meet at Albertus Magnus on November 5th…Earned two more wins at Regis, when she topped the field in the 100-Free (58.48) and 50-Free (27.07) on November 19th…Won the 200-Free (2:10.30) and 50-Fly in a home quad meet on January 7th…Placed second in the 200-Free (2:02.27) with third-place efforts in the 50-Free (25.40) and 100-Free (54.87) – and broke her own team records in both of the latter events - in the GNAC Championships…Also swam legs for the Monks’ record-breaking 200-Medley (1:57.22) and 200-Free (1:46.10) relay teams at GNAC’s.

2021-22: Competed in 25 individual events as a freshman…Won eight individual events…Kicked off her college career with a top finish in the 100-Free (57.99) and posted a third-place effort in the 100-Fly (1:09.13) versus Colby-Sawyer College on October 1st…Picked up a pair of wins at University of New England on October 29th, topping the field in the 100-Free (59.06) and 50-Free (27.25) events…Won the 200-Free (2:15.91) in a quad meet at Albertus Magnus on November 6th…Picked up wins in the 100-Free (58.79) and 50-Free (26.38) against Regis College 14 days later…Posted a pair of fourth-place finishes (200-Free, 2:00.36; 50-Free, 25:50) and broke three team records (50-Free, 100-Free, 200-Free) in the GNAC Championships…Capped her freshman season by breaking the 100-Free mark again with a 55.00 time.

Why Saint Joseph's? I love the campus and wanted to stay in Maine for college. I also really like the swim team here.

High School: Swam varsity all four years for South Portland High School…was named Rookie of the Year, received the Captain Award, named to All-State Swim, and holds four school records (three relay, 50 free)…was the Girls Class A 50 free Champion in 2021…Class A Runner up in the 50 free, and 100 free, was the South Westerns 100 free Champion as a junior, was third in South Westerns 50 free both sophomore and junior year, third at South Westerns in the 100 free as a sophomore…was on the honor roll, and the Honors Society…swam club for Costal Maine Aquatics for four years and Portland YMCA for three years.
