MICHAEL BOLANZ '00, a two-time NAIA All-American and one of the best goalkeepers to ever guard the net for the Royal Blue, is the first men's soccer player to be inducted into the Saint Joseph's Athletic Hall of Fame. Michael's career totals of 13 shutouts and 592 saves stand as program records, while his 2.12 career goals against average is ranked fifth in program history. In 1998, he recorded a single-season record seven shutouts and surrendered a paltry 1.74 goals per game, which is the second-lowest single-season mark. Bolanz was named All-Conference three times, All-State twice and remains the only men's soccer player to garner All-American honors.
