Jesse LaCasse '03

JESSE LaCASSE ‘03 will undoubtedly be remembered as one of the greatest hitters in Saint Joseph's College baseball history. LaCasse amassed incredible offensive numbers in his four-year career and played a significant role in lifting the Monks baseball program into the upper echelon of the New England region. In 2000, as a freshman, LaCasse batted .479 and garnered Maine Athletic Conference Rookie of the Year, All-Conference and NAIA All-American honors. At the time, the .479 batting average set the single-season record and, eight seasons later, stands as the second-highest average in SJC history. As a junior, Jesse recorded a .397 average along with 60 hits, 15 home runs and 65 RBI on his way to collecting All-New England and All-Conference honors. For his career, Jesse holds the record for RBI (182) and doubles (59) and ranks second in batting average (.415), runs (179), hits (214) and home runs (41). LaCasse's offensive firepower helped lift the Monks to a four-year record of 112-58, including two NAIA Regional Championships and a trip to the NAIA Super Regional Tournament.
