Kelly Wood Smith '94

KELLY (WOOD) SMITH ‘94 was a member of the 1989 Saint Joseph's women's soccer team that captured the program's first Maine Athletic Conference Championship and was the first SJC soccer player to collect All-America honors when she was selected as a National Soccer Coaches Association of America/Umbro All-American upon the conclusion of her senior season. She was also the Fleet Bank Maine Athletic Conference Player of the Year and received All-Northeast, All-District and All-State honors following the 1993 campaign. In 1992, Kelly was named to the MAC All-Conference team when Saint Joseph's posted a 13-6-1 record and claimed the program's third MAC Championship. In her three years donning the Royal Blue, St. Joe's won three MAC Championships and made three NAIA New England Regional Tournament appearances.
