Fred Stone

Fred Stone, a 1993 Maine Baseball Hall of Fame inductee, worked at Saint Joseph’s College in several capacities for more than 20 years, including roles as the Director of Admissions, Director of Intramurals and Recreation, Admissions Representative, and Athletics Event Manager. He influenced the lives of countless student-athletes and athletics staff members during his time at St. Joe’s and is revered as one of the most popular figures in the history of SJC Athletics. In 1998, a pond near St. Joe’s Hall was named in his honor and “Stone Pond” continues to serve as a recreational area during the winter months.
