Capped his career as one of the elite small-college runners in
New England and was the first athlete in Saint Joseph’s
College men’s cross country history to earn All-America
status
Posted 16 top-10 finishes, including nine top-five efforts and a
pair of individual victories, over his four seasons and is the only
SJC runner to win the State of Maine Championship race
Collected All-New England and All-State honors in 1986 and 1987
and claimed All-ECAC accolades with a fourth-place finish in the
regional race in 1987
During his collegiate career, the Monks made four-consecutive
trips to the NCAA III National Championship and were consistently
ranked among the nation's premier programs
As a senior, led Saint Joseph's to State of Maine and NCAA III
New England championships and finished ninth in the National
Championship meet with a 24:45 effort – just 26 seconds off
first place
