Monks Win Final Game of Inaugural Season

LYNDON CENTER, Vt. - FY Kody Peckham (West Gardiner, ME) and FY Tokunbo Amosun (Gardiner, ME) scored four goals each to propel St. Joseph's College to a 15-11 victory over Lyndon State in a match up of first-year lacrosse programs.

SR Tyler Arsenault (Kennebunk, ME) and JR Ryan Prescott (Pittsfield, NH) tallied two goals for the winners while FY Elliot LaMarre (Raymond, ME), SO Luke LaFreniere (Alton, NH) and FY Donald Terezoni (Peabody, MA) chipped in one each. Monks' goalkeeper SR Brendan Dyer (New Gloucester, ME) stopped 13 shots to record his second win of the season. Saturday's game capped St. Joseph's first year as an intercollegiate lacrosse program and it ended its season with an overall record of 2-9.

Craig Salvagno fired home five goals for the Hornets and Chris Mansour scored four. Scott Scott and Derrek Morrison had one goal each in the loss. Myles Hacking collected thee assist for LSC, Salvagno earned two and the tandem of P.J. Danforth and Nathan Taylor were credited with one each. Lyndon goalie Matt Adams made 19 saves in the contest.
