CASTINE, ME - The Saint Joseph's College men's lacrosse team was
defeated by the Maine Maritime Mariners 8-2 on Sunday. FY
Elliott LaMarre (Raymond, ME)
scored the only two goals on the afternoon for the Monks, while SR
Tyler Arsenault (Kennebunk, ME)
had one assist. St. Joe's goalie SR Brendan
Dyer (New Gloucester, ME) came up with 13 saves in
the loss.
St. Joe's opened the scoring when LaMarre scored
his first goal of the game with 4:46 remaining in the first
quarter. The Mariners countered with three consecutive goals to
take a 3-1 lead going into halftime.
LaMarre notched his second tally of the game, a
man-up goal, with 10:20 remaining in the third quarter to bring the
Monks within one score, but the Mariners scored 5 unanswered goals
to close out the scoring and secure an 8-2 victory.

each picked up 6 groundballs in the loss. JR Ryan
Prescott (Pittsfield, NH) had four shots on goal
and FY Tim House (Marshfield, MA)

St. Joe's will travel to Orono, ME on Tuesday 4/8 to take on the U
Maine-Orono club lacrosse team at 7:00 PM.
