STANDISH, ME - The SJC men's lacrosse team (1-8) was defeated by
in-state opponent University of New England (3-11) on Tuesday,
22-3. JR Ryan Prescott
(Pittsfield, NH) scored two goals and FY Elliot
LaMarre (Raymond, ME) added a goal and 9
groundballs in the loss.
SO Lucas Ward (Raymond, ME)
picked up 5 groundballs and FY Tokunbo
Amosun (Gardiner, ME) and SR
Tyler Arsenault (Kennebunk, ME)
both collected four groundballs in the game. Goalkeeper
Brendan Dyer (New Gloucester, ME)
made 9 saves in the first half of the game and takes the loss.
Eleven different players found the back of the net for the
Nor'easters in the game. Chad DeLuca (Mashpee, MA) scored 5 goals,
Jon Ebert (Auburn, NH) registered 4 scores and Steven Beem (Barre,
VT) added two goals in the victory. Goalkeeper Andy Briggs
(Scituate, RI) made four saves in the first half to earn the
victory between the pipes.
St. Joe's will host Mount Saint Vincent College (NY) on Thursday,
April 24th at 4:00 PM in the team's last home contest of the 2008
season.
