Hunt Named NAC Rookie of the Week

STANDISH, ME – For the second time this season, Saint Joseph’s Men’s Lacrosse freshman attacker Spencer Hunt (Jeffersonville, VT/Lamoille Union) has received North Atlantic Conference Rookie of the Week honors.

In the Monks’ only game last week against Green Mountain College on April 3rd, Hunt scored six goals with eight assists to help lead the Royal Blue to a 25-3 victory. The rookie standout set new program single-game records with his assist and point total in the lopsided win against the Eagles.

In seven games this season Hunt leads the Monks in assists (15), ranks second in points (29) and third in goals (14). He is just two assists shy of the SJC single-season mark in assists, which was set last season by Jonathan Horgan ’12 (Hingham, MA).

Hunt collected his first conference weekly honor on March 22nd.

Saint Joseph’s (4-4, 1-1 NAC) will host conference-rival Maine Maritime Academy at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, April 6th at Westerlea Way Field.
