STANDISH, ME – Jonathan Horgan '12 (Hingham, MA) has been selected as the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week.
Horgan scored seven goals and added 11 assists for 18 total points in a 2-1 week for the Monks. The junior standout registered a team-record eight assists in a win over Maine-Farmington on Wednesday.
The junior attacker currently leads the Monks with 24 points and 12 assists and ranks second on the squad with 12 goals through eight contests.
Horgan, a three-time North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Rookie of the Week and Honorable Mention choice in 2008, currently ranks third in SJC lacrosse history in points (87) and assists (29) and fourth in goals (58).
The conference weekly top player honor is the first of Horgan's career.
Saint Joseph's (4-4) will host Johnson State in a non-conference contest at Deering Memorial Stadium on Thursday at 7:30 PM.
