Driscoll Named GNAC Goalkeeper of the Week

STANDISH, ME – Saint Joseph's junior netminder Christopher Driscoll (Saco, Maine/Thornton Academy) has been selected as the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Men's Lacrosse Goalkeeper of the Week.

Driscoll made 12 saves in a 9-4 victory over GNAC-rival Emmanuel College on Wednesday. The weekly conference honor is the first of his career.

The third-year starter is 7-6 with a 9.78 goals against average and a .527 save percentage through 15 games this spring and currently ranks fourth in the conference with 125 saves.

As of April 17th, Driscoll ranks as the Monks' all-time leader in saves (426), save percentage (.548), wins (22) and goals-against average (9.28).

Saint Joseph's will play at Mount Ida College on Thursday in a conference contest scheduled to start at 4:00 PM.
