Finn Tabbed as GNAC Rookie of the Week

STANDISH, Maine – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly awards have been released and Saint Joseph's College freshman Michael Finn (Quincy, Mass.) has been chosen as the GNAC Corvais Men's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week.

Finn scored seven goals with three assists and five ground balls in his first two collegiate contests last week. The freshman attack tallied three goals and three assists in a victory over Maine-Farmington on Wednesday and netted four goals in a loss to Salem State on Saturday.

Finn is just the second Monks men's lacrosse player to garner GNAC Rookie of the Week honors in the last three seasons. Current teammate Brendan Barrett (East Sandwich, Mass.), a sophomore midfielder who earned conference top rookie acclaim on March 22nd, 2015, is the other.

Saint Joseph's (1-1) will play at Mass.-Maritime tonight at 7:00 PM.
