STANDISH, Maine – The 2017 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Men's Lacrosse postseason awards have been released and Saint Joseph's College junior defender Liam Skinner (Irving, Texas) has collected Third Team All-GNAC honors.

Skinner claims the first All-Conference honor of his career after tallying two goals, five assists, 62 ground balls, and 30 caused turnovers while starting all 15 of the Monks' games as a junior captain. He ranked fifth in the GNAC in caused turnovers and 11th in ground balls this spring.

For his career, Skinner ranks second in team history with 101 caused turnovers and seventh with 161 ground balls.

Under the watch of first-year Head Coach Bill Cosentino, Saint Joseph's posted a 6-9 record with a 3-5 mark in conference play. Although they missed the GNAC Tournament, the 2017 Monks showed marked improvement statistically across the board and finished 17th in the nation in man-down defense (.814).
