LeBlanc Earns NEILA All-Academic Honor

STANDISH, Maine – The New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) Academic All-New England accolades have been announced and Saint Joseph's College senior Wyatt LeBlanc (Arundel, Maine) has honored.

Nominees for the NEILA Academic award must have senior or graduate student standing, a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale and be a significant enough player who was nominated for at least All-Conference selection.

In 17 games this spring, LeBlanc – a Special Education major - tallied nine goals and 25 assists for 34 total points along with 17 ground balls. In 27 career games, the midfielder netted 12 goals with 36 assists for 48 points.

Saint Joseph's closed out the 2022 season with a 5-13 overall record and a 3-7 mark in conference play en route to securing the #8 seed in the GNAC Tournament. Playing at top-seeded Norwich University in the first round of the tourney, the Monks nearly pulled off a monumental upset by taking a 12-10 lead into the fourth quarter, but the eventual GNAC champion Cadets staved off early elimination with four unanswered goals in the final frame to defeat St. Joe's by a 14-12 tally.
