Hopkins Collects Second GNAC Weekly Honor

STANDISH, Maine – The Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) weekly honors have been released and Saint Joseph's College freshman attack Tiger Hopkins (Leeds, Maine) has been selected as the GNAC Men's Lacrosse Rookie of the Week for the second-consecutive reporting period.

Hopkins tallied six goals and three assists in a 1-1 conference week for the Monks. The freshman attack netted four goals with a pair of assists in the program's first-ever victory over Norwich on Saturday. He also scored two goals with an assist and a pair of ground balls in a 13-8 loss at Rivier University on Tuesday.

Through 13 games this spring Hopkins has scored 29 goals with 31 assists for a total of 60 points. He currently ranks second in the GNAC in assists, fourth in points, and eighth in goals.

Saint Joseph's will host University of Saint Joseph on Friday in a GNAC matchup set to start at 4:00 PM.
